Marc Washbourne | Chief Executive Officer

Marc graduated with a first class degree from the University of Leeds (UK) in 1997 and has since gained 20 years’ experience in technology for the education and employment sectors. Marc now heads up ReadyTech, overseeing a team of 160 people that supports over 4,000 customers.

A former software developer, Marc couples his technical background with a strategic approach to drive the vision and growth of ReadyTech as well as leading the thinking on the SaaS and value added services delivered to ReadyTech customers.

Marc believes deeply in the transformation and opportunity people are offered by both education and employment and is passionate about this as the wider purpose of ReadyTech.

Nimesh Shah

Nimesh is the Chief Financial Officer for ReadyTech with responsibility of Finance, Treasury, Investor Relations and works closely with Marc Washbourne and Pemba Capital Partners on executing group strategy across ReadyTech.

Nimesh has over than 20 years of experience as a senior executive in the technology and media sectors across Asia Pacific.

Nimesh was Group CFO at Isentia for over 7 years and played an instrumental role in transitioning the company to become the leading media intelligence organisation in Asia Pacific. Prior to Isentia, Nimesh was the Finance Director at Fairfax Digital and drove the business to significant growth whilst navigating the world of online publishing and transaction business.

Nimesh holds MBA from Australian Graduate Management School and Bachelor of Economics (Merit) from UNSW.  He is a member of Australian Chartered Accountant and was recently appointed to the board of Rugby League players association.

Mark Summerhayes

Mark Summerhayes | Non Executive Director

After graduating from Cambridge University in 1987, Mark spent seven years at Bain & Company advising corporates on a mix of strategy, M&A, and operational improvement projects. He was based in London, Munich and Sydney. Mark led assignments for leading European players in the FMCG, financial services, telecoms healthcare and industrial sectors.

In 1996 Mark co-founded SB Capital Partners, a private equity partnership, which was backed by Bain Capital, one of the leading US private equity firms. On the back of the success of this venture Bain Capital subsequently launched its first dedicated European buy-out fund.

Mark moved to Sydney in 2005 to join Pemba Capital Partners and co-led the spin out of the captive fund from Pemba in 2009 and then more recent $650m fundraising (backed by HarbourVest and a group of other global and local LPs) which established the firm as one of the leaders in its segment in Australia and NZ.

Mark is also Chairman of the Board at Placard and Coverforce and a Director of Ausreo, Device Technologies, Instant Access and InteriorCo.

Tom Matthews

Tom has over 13 years of experience in private equity, principal investment, investment banking and middle market advisory and valuations.

Tom joined Pemba Capital Partners from Sovereign Capital, the UK ‘Buy & Build’ specialist private equity fund, where he was based in London and focused on investing in mid-market consolidators in the healthcare, education and business services sectors. During this time, Tom was involved in over 40 Buy & Build transactions and has a proven track record in originating and leading successful investments.

Tom joined Sovereign Capital’s investment team in 2008 having previously been with the Investment Banking Group at Macquarie Bank Limited, which focused on principal investment opportunities across a variety of sectors.

Prior to Macquarie, Tom gained substantial transaction experience at Deloitte Corporate Finance both in Sydney and London. Tom’s primary areas of expertise at Deloitte Corporate Finance involved business valuations, independent expert’s reports and corporate advice.
