The Role:

  • Build long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients and constantly seek out ways to exceedtheir expectations
  • Your primary goal is retention, so driving product utilisation and engagement through an intimate understanding of your client’s business is key
  • Grow your client spend by identifying and managing opportunities and all the commercial aspects of the sales process for existing clients, including cross-selling, expansion, upselling and renewals
  • Identify clients’ needs and challenges and coach clients on how to best utilise VETtrak to meet their requirements
  • Handle a large amount of incoming sales and account inquiries from new and existing clients via telephone and email
  • Pro-actively manage a sizeable portfolio of clients based across Australia
  • Build account strategies for your new and existing clients and establish an ongoing partnership by developing success plans for clients that outline their
  • critical success factors, metrics for success, potential issues, and provide recommendations.
  • Partner closely with other cross-functional team members to translate client business needs and product requirements into new solutions for clients.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years working in a phone-based sales / account
  • management capacity, at a technology company, or RTO.
  • Track record of achieving Sales KPI’s and be highly numbers focussed (#calls, # renewals, # opportunities, etc)
  • Strong ability to grasp new things quickly – industry, product, technology, etc.
  • Ability to demonstrate products with focus on solving real-life problems and highlighting key benefits
  • Superior organisational skills
  • Self-starter and willingness to work as a part of a small, dedicated and professional team
  • Negotiation and objection handling skills
  • Diplomacy, tact, and poise under pressure when working through client issues.
  • Can-do attitude
  • Prior experience in education sector or in a SaaS business is highly desirable

Aussiepay and ePayroll are part of the hyper growth SaaS company ReadyTech who specialise in supporting organisations manage their employee lifecycle. Due to our growth we are looking for a Payroll Team Leader, based in our Parramatta office, to work with our strong Managed Payroll Services team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional to take a step into a leadership role within a group that processes Billions of dollars annually. Along with assisting the everyday payroll processing, this role will be heavily based around mentoring/developing the rest of the payroll team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management and coordination of the Managed Services team
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with client contacts to ensure we are assisting them to manage their employees and value adding to their business
  • Deliver the highest quality payroll service to clients in a friendly helpful manner.
  • To escalate and follow through, implementation, system and payroll issues to ensure customer satisfaction
  • To provide support, leadership and motivation to direct reports including their personal development for the role.
  • Support on-boarding of new customers at go-live to ensure successful adoption
  • Proactively engage customers at risk of churn to ensure churn prevention

Key Requirements

  • High volume payroll experience – 4 years minimum, ideally in an outsourced environment
  • Team Leader experience
  • Highly organised with ability to plan cycles and touch points across your portfolio
  • Proven ability to develop and manage a team through complex change and environments
  • Strong excel and numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication skills, a professional consultative approach and strong business acumen
